PREMIOS JORGE NEWBERY

En el Club Armenio de Palermo ante 180 deportistas de Alto Rendimiento y dirigentes se realizó la Ceremonia de los Premios Jorge Newbery 2009 para distinguir a los mejores deportistas del año 2008.

En Judo la terna fue integrada por tres talentos con un futuro promisorio , Mariano Russo , Diego Rodríguez y Alejandro Clara , deportistas de la Federación Metropolitana de Judo (entidad presidida por el Maestro Antonio Gallina 7º Dan). Con tan solo 18 años de edad Alejandro Clara fue galardonado con el Jorge Newbery de Plata ,entre sus logros deportivos se destacan Subcampeón Panamericano , Campeón Iberoamericano y Subcampeón en el Abierto de EEUU.

JORGE NEWBERY PRIZE

In the Armenian Club, with the presence of 180 high level sportmen and club directors, the Jorge Newbery Prize 2009 ceremony took place. The best sportmen from 2008 were distinguished.

In Judo, Alejandro Clara who is only 18 years old, was given the Jorge Newbery Silver Prize. His most notorious achievements were Panamerican Sub champion(2nd place), Iberoamerican Champion (1st place) and U.S.Open Sub Champion (2nd place).
Clara was chosen from a group of two more high level judoists with a promising future: Mariano Russo and Diego Rodríguez.

These three sportmen are members of Metropolitan Judo Federation,whose president is Antonio Gallina 7th Degree.
